one afternoon over the canal in Berlin I had this beautiful moment with a willow tree leaning over the waters. Actually this experience has been a key moment for my current research around the deconstruction of trapeze art. This extraordinary meeting gave me a great insight about the very basic nature of trapeze (you know these so simple thoughts that you feel weird calling it a big discovery because it is so basic, but actually it changes your entire perspective) – that the object of a bar on ropes does not make it a trapeze yet – it needs the connection to a higher structure to become one.

another great experience I had during a circus research lab, Cologne 2023. That summer there was a flooding of the Rhine river. Collaboration with dancer & choreographer Valerie Kommer and the documentary film makers Angelika Herta & Filip Jakobson.
